Joining Sophie’s classes is probably the second best decision I have done in a while, (first being clicking on bts mv). Through her classes, I have learnt how descriptive and beautiful Korean is. I tried learning by myself at first tbh but I gave up but Sophie’s encouragement and patience towards students makes me really want to keep going. If I ever meet BTS in person, I will definitely be telling them in Korean that Sophie is helping me realise more how beautiful and just heart touching their songs are. I am so thankful for her for helping me realise that.

I love learning Korean with Sophie Ssaem. She is a great teacher that teaches at a great pace and introduces Korean culture in every lesson. I think one of the best decisions I made this year is to learn another language. Initially, I decided to do it on my own, but I find that I have more accountability learning Korean with group classes! I was encouraged all the more and pumped up to stick to my commitment! Although I think I may have "commitment issues" in general, it's not (and will never be) about our Hangul classes!

I felt super hesitant at first because I’m super awkward with new people and the thought of committing to a class kind of scared me. But once I started, I really had nothing to worry about. I’ve been self-studying Korean for years and have fallen into the famous language trap of knowing tons of vocabulary but struggling with constructing sentences. It’s only been a few lessons with Sophie’s class and I can already tell a huge difference! The classes are easy to digest along with being given practice and examples that really helped the lessons stick. Thanks to Sophie my goals with learning Korean feels more realistic and I could not be more grateful!
